Due to the success of the last Winter Meena Bazaar, we have set up this event, which will take place from 11am to 4pm on 29th February 2020. We have a multitude of stalls set up including a henna stall, so please do bring the family along for a day of fun!
We are excited to share that we are starting an Urdu school at the PWA. We believe it’s important for our children to learn to speak, read and write in their mother tongue to help understand their culture and identity. Please see the image below and for further details you can contact either
Mrs Kausar Akhtar on 07915 439753 or Mohammed Shabbir, PWA president on 07989 171329
We look forward to seeing you for a special two day event on 19 and 20 August 2017, celebrating 70 years of Pakistan’s independence from India.
Everyone is welcome!
We had a great time welcoming young people from the National Citizen Service (NCS), a programme of teens aged 15-17, to PWA Slough on 27 July 2017.
The team will be back in August to give the garden some love and sort our car park! We look forward to seeing a new welcoming garden area at the front of the centre, including new plants in the beds.
Thanks to the UK charity The Challenge, which aims to build a more integrated society, and runs the NCS project. Thanks to Cindy, Kaya and the team.
On 23 March the PWA celebrated Pakistan Day in Slough. On this day in 1940, the Lahore Declaration was signed by the Founding Fathers of Pakistan.
